Is it possible that the problem be related to the USB-C to jack adapter ?
Maybe the adapter is entering in a sort of standby mode, to save iPad's battery ?
Does it happen also with other apps ? Or just PianoTeq ?
- If just PianoTeq, then I would try to use PianoTeq as an AUv3 plugin inside a DAW (like AUM or ApeMatrix, or maybe GarageBand which is free).
- If it happens with any other audio app, then I would try with another adapter.

Anyway, I don't remember having faced such a problem with PianoTeq executed on my iPad or iPhone.

Best.

Malmc02 wrote:

Irmin wrote:

Have you tried replacing the midi bluetooth with a wired connection. Maybe there is some sort of power saving feature which causes the delay as the speaker wakes up

I have the exact same problem. Running IOS Pianoteq, and the very first note has a delayed response, sort of a fade in. Subsequent notes are fine, but if you wait 5 seconds it happens again. Headphones plugged straight into the iPad. Hmm?!

Edit: sound perfect when using iPad speakers. Delay on first note happens only when using a usb c dongle for headphones…but only the first note.

I am a new user of Pianoteq and I use the following setup:
- digital piano Yamaha
- pianoteq app on Ipad 10th generation
- midi bluetooth adapter
- BOSE speakers directly attached to Ipad using usb port

I get the following problem: when I start playing piano after a pause of more than 3 seconds, the sound of the first note is emitted with a delay while playing subsequent notes, the delay disappears. With a pause of less than 3 seconds, the problem does not exist.
Furthermore, this problem only occurs when I use the speakers: if I use headphones, the problem does not exist.

This initial delay is evidently related to the use of the speakers.

Can someone give me some guidance to solve the problem?

Thanks in advance.
