If I'm able to find someone selling a used license for an older version, would I be able to buy the upgrade for it or secondhand licenses are precluded from that?

It's my understanding that once a license is transferred to you, it becomes NFR (not for resale) with no other restrictions. I would contact Modartt directly for confirmation (support@modartt.com), but I think this means you can upgrade indefinitely.

I've been thinking about buying a used license, but I decided to do some basic research first. Maybe you people here can help me out with that.

Exchange rates are overkill right now, so it's not a good moment to buy a new license. If a used license goes for a significantly lower price, it may be a good opportunity. So I'd like to ask you people the question in the subject. Just Stage, bare bones.

The second hand licenses are fully upgradable as per normal.

The only limitation to be aware of when you buy a secondhand licence is that you can't sell it on yet again.

As for the price most will come with several packs I suggest.  Perhaps a fair price is to pay up to say 70% of retail (a little less during the sale period - smart sellers won't sell during a sale period!).
I didn't buy a second hand licence, then again I'm not in the country with a horrendous exchange rate (currently!).
