"March" have been my favorite since childhood.

I think what makes Prokofiev's music unique is that the core of his pieces is like a scherzo. This is different from Scriabin and Rachmaninoff. His works have a lot of quirky elements that seem to appeal to kids. I'm one of those who enjoy them.

Thanks again Hal for this music. I think there’s very much going on in this piece. And I especially love the end chords from 1, 36 to end, fantastic, crazy! And it reminds me of Promenade from  Pictures at an Exhibition / Mussorgsky.

Have listened and seen video, of Peter and the wolf, "symphonic tale for children", is a musical composition .The narrator tells a children's story, which the orchestra illustrates by using different instruments to play a "theme" that represents each character in the story. Wonderful to show for children at my school years ago. To learn the names of instruments.

Myself have played, I think, only one piece of Prokofiev: ”Children’s Pieces, opus 65, Tarantella.
