Good suggestion, and not to pricy for the single-input model. But I'd still be inclined to just choose a keyboard that does it right in the first place.

I did not calibrate the FP-10 curve, and suspect that it has an on/off sustain pedal. I do not know if the FP-10 sends note off messages.

The FP-30X carries a considerable price hike from the FP-10, approx. 80% in my district. Seen exclusively from a Pianoteq/ VST use case: is the FP-30X anywhere near "justifying" the extra cost, compared to the FP-10?

A couple other differences difference between FP-10 and FP-30x are (1) FP-30x has USB audio, FP-10 doesn't, and (2) FP-30x has two 1/4" line outs, FP-10 has just a 1/8" headphone jack.  Whether those differences matter is a question for individual users.

RE: FP-10 sustain pedal.  Yes, it sends only three values (0, 63?, 127).  But you don't have to route your sustain pedal through the FP-10, if your main use is driving Pianoteq (or any other VST) on a computer.  You can route your sustain pedal through something like the Audiofront Midi Expression to send continuous messages to your computer, will work seamlessly with Note On, Off messages from FP-10.

It's surprising and unfortunate that the 30x carries such a high premium where you are; here in the U.S. it's only about 17%.

I have been testing Pianoteq with my own Yamaha YDP-131, as well as the Roland FP-10 and FP-30X in a local store, using my laptop. What I noticed when calibrating the velocity curve on the FP-30X, was that I could calibrate both NOTE OFF, and the continuous sustain pedal. My YDP has neither.
