It's a nice Etude !
Practicing with one's own repetitive exercises follows in the grand footsteps of the past's illustrious virtuosos. This, of course, hinges on the assumption that the dedication to repetition doesn’t get side-tracked by whims or deviations. To be honest, in many cases, that happened more often than not.

Reminds me of my playing when I was young when the teacher said I would never become a pianist. I stopped playing, but started to learn myself and I am still learning, thanks to this forum and all wonderful people here, I am learning new pieces every week ( and thanks to Modartt team too)

Here something I tried when I was  sad at that time…..
This is only the beginning of an etude, that I could play in different keys when I was younger. At that time I tried to fight on my own, for a long time and still do. And I'm not a pianist, an amateur. The Pianoteq sound preset YC5 Solo recording is nice. I thought of this when I listened to your piece.
