Hi sigasa, I've a CP33 like you, and i'm very happy about keys action. I'm a amateur jazz pianist, so my sound reference are album by Bill Evans, Jarrett, Tyner ecc.

I count 4 people in this forum having this keyboards, you, ethanay, mooks and me. It would be interesting exchange informations and presets for our keyboard.

My problem is that i'm not happy about dynamics. If I play a midi file produced by other with pianoteq it's sound excellent throught my mixer and speakers; if i play myself the sound is poor, "muddy", less present.
I link a post in this forum where we discuss this problem:

http://www.forum-pianoteq.com/viewtopic.php?id=635

Which keyboard touch do you use? soft, medium, hard or you turn off this option? Which dynamic curve you set in pianoteq?

Thanks sigasa.

Absolutely! No need to take this one apart!!!

Actually, Yamaha have used a different action in the CP33/CP300 stage pianos, the GHD as opposed to the GHE which they use in most of their lower end models.

I just had to let anyone looking to purchase a top quality midi controller that I have only good things to say about my brand new CP33. The touch is so much better than that of my previous keyboard, the yamaha P120. In fact I cannot tell the difference between the the touch of the CP33 and touch of the yamaha NW (natural wood) action! I would strongly advise anyone thinking of buying a new board to at least demo one of these amazing pianos. You may even want to splash out on it's big brother, the CP300. These pianos may not be around for much longer as the new CP range has recently debued (CP1, CP5 and CP50). You may even get a better deal than I did (899GBP)! If you don't really need a board with a fantasticly authentic feel, ignore me! But if you do, give it a spin...
