Thanks! I'd been pressing the key switch and the new root key simultaneously, not in succession as they're supposed to. It works now.

Lets say you have assigned 'Change root key of current temperament' to a button controller that sends CC112 when pressed.

Open the advanced tuning panel of Pianoteq. By default, the root key, displayed in the keyboard mappings section, is C4.

If you press the button on your MIDI controller, and then you press for example G3 on your midi keyboard, then the tuning panel should now show G3 instead of C4.

Hi, the root note is set by the next MIDI key you press. The feature is a bit experimental right now.

The MIDI mapping submenu for action has a new 'Set temperament root note' option but I can't figure out how to use it and it's not explained anywhere. The mapping menu doesn't let me specify the root note. I was trying to create key switches for changing the root note, ie. map some keys to different root notes, but I can't.
So how does it work?
