Yes, all the presets of your chosen instrument packs will be fully playable in Stage. For an upright sound, your first choice would be U4 - but any of the pianos can be made to sound 'bad' by going heavy on the condition slider.

OK, NY Steinway D Worn Out (modified) is pretty good at bad!

I still feel the dynamic range could be a bit more compressed at low volume Oh but now that I look I see the velocity curve does that, exactly what I was looking for!

I assume Pianoteq Stage will let me use that preset with the "Steinway Model D" instrument pack?

What I'd like, for example:

- muddy sound from any use of the sustain pedal

- hard to play softly (quietly) when playing pp / ppp (i.e. low dynamic range at the low end of volume)

- timbre / resonance that sounds like upright

Why? I want to practice a little to see if I can get a little better at playing real acoustic upright pianos while I'm at home with just the "digital piano" - as much as is possible (which means: with real limitations, of course).

At the moment I'm just trying the demo, so I'm interested both in what I can do with the real pianotech and with the demo.
