Guilty guilty guilty !!  ...of premeditated murder of samples in the first degree !  Sentenced to spend eternity in a small computing box cranking out highly tweakable expressive virtual renditions of popular acoustic keyboard and percussion instruments !  There is no chance for parole.  Go directly to the keyboard.  Do not pass go, do not collect $200.

Now, it depends of the buyer to decide if THAT shortcoming is critical for him or not.

If SOS Magazine reviews are anything to go by, there are no bad products out there or they just do not review bad products.

They pretty much all read the same: A number of pros with one or two cons thrown in to maintain an illusion of objectivity.

To be fair, I am a repeat subscriber myself and they often have some great articles. I have just learned to take the reviews with a pinch of salt.

Their one criticism about Pianoteq is summed up in a note about the subjective arficiality of the instrument.

As for the pros, any owner of Pianoteq has no need of this review, but it is sufficiently lengthy that it might create some awareness for the uninitiated.

and it has a pretty positive (although not uncritical) review of Pianoteq in it. Well done!

Ahhh, but SOS has been in love with samples for so long that they're probably married to them.

And the divorce will not go smoothly (when they and the others actually realize that the true love wasn't as true as they thought).

Oh, and the cost of the separation/divorce is going to be at the expense of their credibility.   Tragic.
