Hi all!

Many thanks to those who contribute on this forum - It has been very helpful to me as I grow into these products!

I've submitted a support request about this, but I wanted to post on the forum in case others have encountered this e-piano behaviour. Here is part of what I sent to support:

Here is the problem I'm encountering:

If notes are played staccato above a note an octave or 2 below it, they will ring out as though the damper is slightly depressed os as if there is string resonance, which of course there isn't any in a Rhodes.

(I uploaded the file I sent to support to the forum's Shared Files. The title is Pianoteq E-piano Problem.)

Play C4 & D4 staccato for 2 measures by themselves.

Then, play C3 at a low velocity and sustain for 2 measures while the C4/D4 notes above continue. One can hear the anomaly I'm encountering on C4.

Then, play D3 at a low velocity and sustained for 2 measures while the C4/D4 notes above continue. One can hear the anomaly I'm encountering on D4.

This behavior is reproduceable on any for the Rhodes models I tried and happens on all the notes I tested. I used MK I Basic with no reverb on the file I sent to support.

Has anyone else noticed this behavior?

Best regards,
Bob Charest
