In playing around with the app, I think I have saved over default settings, so that now when I select a different instrument, thinking it would be loaded with default values, it loads certain values I’ve changed previously.

I have made sure the “frozen” snowflake icon is not selected. I just want to completely start over with the software to factory defaults. How do I go about doing this? I’ve uninstalled/reinstalled the software to no avail. I’ve contacted Modartt twice and received no response.

I’m on MacOS - tried looking for a preference file so that I could delete it but I can’t even find that.

How do I start anew with this software?

I can't find your support request, it seems we did not receive it, did you use https://www.modartt.com/support ?

Anyway, you want to remove the PianoteqXX.prefs files in "(HOME)/Library/Application Support/Modartt" (don't forget to quit Pianoteq first). Once they are gone, Pianoteq will start with the default settings.
