Raising the 0 node of the note-off curve to about 5 fixed it for me.

I am using the latest PT, with an unmodified release velocity curve.

When I release the key really slowly with velocity = 1, I get sustain like I had the damper pedal depressed.

I have tried both raising and lowering my curve at the low end, no effect.

I can get this consistently.  Usually I don't such a release during normal practice, but every once in a while I get it.
