I also had the same thought. I'm sure it's possible using a pair of figure-8 microphones, but what figuring out the various angle settings are doing, and then being able to direct the sweet spot are a bit of a mystery,

Can someone send me a .mfxp, close mics of this (or a preset) ?

Ribbon - Close 2 (Royer SF-24)
