I suggest the Doepfer is really aimed primarily at hardware synth guys.
It's not going to be manufactured in the same numbers. More a specialist product for hardware geek/enthusiasts.

Better in what regard?

The controversial VPC1 or the MP11se probably obvious improvements in the key action.
As you've already got a good keyboard you might want to get yourself to a physical shop to compare options .
Casio hybrid grand action could be on the list - if you have the space.

I'd go the SL88 Grand, it has TP40W whereas the LMK2 has an "inferior" version of the TP40, not sure what's exactly but the TP40W is presumably the best FATAR can offer in terms of imitating a "grand feel" whatever that may mean.

I wonder is there a difference between Sl88 Grand and Doepfer LMK2. They use the same fatar keys and they are both midi controllers. The Doepfer is double the price. I own an Sl88 studio. I am pleased for the amount of money I spent but I am looking to buy a better piano action controller not so noisy only for my studio.

Regards,
