Midi keyboard's rubber strip are more delicate/thin. I would practice with the blade in other things until get skill to try in midi rubber.

Tell me. The original rubber strip have some cost to replace 88 keys. Aliexpress have some generic brand rubber strips for many keyboards. Do you know if their quality is similar to originals?

Like I said I've never done it myself. That said I wouldn't expect the highest quality to be put in most keyboards anyway. Provided the rubber wasn't already in a state of decay (having been in storage for too long) then I expect it would be exactly the same quality, no better, no worse. Just a guess though.
My main concern would be that the rubber hadn't been sitting in storage for decades and just simply perishing on the shelf.

Properly stored (not exposed to the elements) perhaps the rubber would last decades anyway.

  You need to remove the tiny carbon pads from the rubber, by carefully cutting it out with a good precision blade and a firm steady hand, without damage the rubber, and replace by new ones, fixing in place with silicon glue.
