It's in the forum wish lists along with stalwarts such as Bos Imperial 290, Yam CFX, the top Kawai, a classic American Baldwin. Oh and occasionally the Aussie Stuart and Sons gets thrown on the Barbie/put on the wishlist too.

Fazioli and 290 methinks get the most requested.

I wonder if it would prove difficult to make a distinctive sound from a Fazioli model that didn't get accused of "sounding like Pianoteq"?
What I mean by that is an overly clean, characterless sound. Too pure.
Most of the Fazioli virtual instruments and recordings that you hear It's a very clear bell like fundamental sound.

Maybe one day it will happen, who knows.

Based on all sampled pianos I've heard, my guess is that the Fazioli is not a really easy sound to sample/model, but who knows, let's be positive and think that Modartt will surprise us with this model sooner than later

The same goes for the Bösendorfer IMO

It's probably the case that they don't get along with the Italians, otherwise we'd probably have Fazioli already.
