]]>I think Modartt had all the tech needed to make some awesome ambient pads; not sure this is part of their intended roadmap though, but hopefully I'm wrong. In the mean time, I thought I'd try a small experiment with Organteq :-)
Here is my humble pad recepie:
1) start with a careful selection of stops in Organteq
2) add liberal amounts of tremulant and reverb in Organteq
3) optional: add a tape emulation plugin to the result
4) incorporate a final plate reverb for finishing touches
5) optional: sprinkle some granular goodness with a granular effects pluginAfter a few batches of tests, here's the result, hope you like it:
I love Organteq and to experiment and I love this composition. Nice intro , the rising going up. And the whole composition, how it is growing and changing. Nice ending how it dies out. And nice tape recorder
I have experimented with Organteq to get pad and hammondlike sounds and it is interesting. Having a melody and copy it to 3 tracks and detune them different - 440 438 436 for example, + much tremulant a s o Hammond organ !! Demos somewhere in Orgtq forum,….
