Of course the stand alone version is meant to record all of the foot pedals along with the keys.
If you use a DAW the piano keys and foot pedal action should be in there too.
Perhaps you have found a compatibility bug in one of the versions?

I tried recording using the record button at the top left of the Pianoteq window, and I think it is MIDI recording (very small file size).

After I played for 20 seconds, I stopped it, and then use

File -> Export to Audio File

(this is on a Mac)... however, I found the sustain pedal effect is not made to the .WAV file, no matter if I physically stepped on it while playing, or merely click on the pedal in the window to make it "on"... either way, the sustain effect does not go into the .WAV file.

Is there a way to make it work, or do I have to use Logic Pro on the Mac (or any DAW) to use Pianoteq as a VST and record the WAV form and save as a WAV file? (I think in such case, it is WYHIWYG -- what you hear is what you get).
