I've contact Modartt support with a bug report for this. When I submitted the support ticket, the confirmation screen said "Your support request has been sent. There are currently many who are contacting us. Therefore, the reply to your query can take longer than usual. Thank you for your understanding." I guess there are other issues that need fixing more urgently. I'll post here when I hear back from them.

OK, I've now figured out that Pianoteq 8 has *three* settings called "attack envelope":
- The note-by-note setting on the note edit page
- The global setting on the note effects page
- The setting in the hammer bounce section, which only makes a difference when bounce is turned on

With the global setting on the note effects page, I can reproduce what I had in Pianoteq 7, providing I'm happy to have the same effect on all notes.

I still maintain that the note-by-note settings make no difference.

But the regular one seems to have no incidence when you want to adjust per note in the note edit parameters. It just works in a global way.

There are now 2 attack envelope parameters, the "regular" one in note effects , and another one in "hammer bounce" section. The later affects only bounced notes so you may need to adjust it to get those bowed presets back (we have added a few "bowed" presets in the pianoteq factory presets btw).

I've tried both Pianoteq 8.0.0 and 8.0.2 on Linux (Ubuntu 22.04), both standalone and LV2 versions.

On the note edit page, switch to attack envelope and try increasing the attack times. On Pianoteq 7, this make a dramatic difference (you can get some nice "bowed piano" sounds). On Pianoteq 8, I'm not hearing any difference at all.

Is it just me, or is anyone else having this problem?
