The YFX is a great addition to the diverse collection of pianos available for Pianoteq, each with a distinctive character including Modartt's own K2.

I have sound issues after upgrading my Debian box to kernel 6.12.115: all my piano instruments sounds like horns and very noisy. Same issue with and without RT kernel. Same issue with and without cpupower (Performance/Governor).

No issue if I boot with previous kernel 6.12.113

Anyone experiencing same issue?

Shifting my focus from software to hardware, I'm selling back my Pianoteq licence (as well as my Airteq licence).

I’m using Pianoteq 7 Standard and noticing an unwanted sound during the decay of long notes. As the initial piano tone fades, a faint, persistent drone becomes noticeable.

It happens across different piano models, not just the Steinway D Classic preset.

Here’s what I’ve checked:

- All effects are off, including EQ, reverb and delay.
- It happens both with the sustain pedal and without it, while holding a key down.
- Releasing the key with the pedal up stops the sound.
- Adjusting the resonance settings hasn’t eliminated it.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Is this an expected characteristic of the modelled note decay, or could there be a setting or technical issue behind it?

Any suggestions for further tests would be appreciated. Thanks!

And how can I have them all automatically be visible in the selection screen without having to individually load in each fxp file? IE all I can seemt o do is load them in one by one and then re-save one by one. Surely there is an automated system? Oh and how do I do my MIDI data?

Title: Musical Analysis of Personal Scores and Post-Tonal Compositions
Abstract: The goal of this study is to explain the development of the post-tonal method of music composition established by the author (hal-05425426) and to provide concrete examples of its application. The main steps for applying the method are detailed, followed by harmonic and structural analyses of approximately twenty of the author's scores. For each score, the starting scale, its invariance properties under transformations (transposition or inversion), the exhaustive harmonic progressions it made possible, and the resulting overall musical structure are described. The initial compositions employed the pentatonic scale, the whole-tone scale, and subsequently Messiaen's modes of limited transposition. These scales were then diversified, with cardinalities ranging from five to nine, in order to demonstrate the generality and versatility of the method. The original scores are included in the Appendix. Although the resulting music is post-tonal, it remains highly accessible to the listener. The method can be readily applied to any scale within an n-tone equal temperament system; however, all the examples presented in this study use the 12-tone system. The examples and analyses should help potential users become familiar with the method and apply it effectively.
